Overview
EmiratesX is a comprehensive UAE-themed educational, cultural, and sustainable platform created for the ADNOC STEM for Life competition under the Hearts & Minds category, which challenges using AI to counter societal isolation and reconnect people to their cultural roots. The platform includes a full-featured mobile/web app, an IoT + ML hardware prototype for real-time landmark detection, and curated educational content about UAE heritage, arts, culture, and sustainability.
Objectives
1) Use AI to strengthen communities and connect people to UAE heritage and traditions; 2) Educate about UAE culture, language, arts, and history through interactive technology; 3) Promote sustainable living via AI-generated eco tips; 4) Demonstrate practical AI/IoT applications through both a software app and a hardware prototype.

Mobile/web app with light/dark modes, dynamic color-changing backgrounds, persistent side navigation, and bottom navigation for key pages. Includes user authentication via Supabase (guest credentials: [email protected] / 123456).

19 UAE-themed products across 4 categories: Kitchenware, Eco-Friendly Products, Books & Education, Home Décor. Features New Arrivals, Hot Picks, cart functionality, product pages with descriptions and images.
Learn Arabic
Complete course covering all 28 Arabic letters (positional forms, transliteration, examples) and 51 basic words, plus a timed 15-question quiz (20 minutes, scored with time bonus, auto-submit). Scores contribute to a leaderboard.
UAE Cultural Content
Sections on UAE's Arts (poetry, music, dance, crafts, literature), Culture (language, heritage sites, food, religions), Festivals (10 celebrations), and Historical Places (9 must-visit locations).
AI-Powered Tools
AI Chat (conversational interface), AI Ask (Q&A assistant), and EX Eco Tips (AI-generated sustainability tips across 7 categories: Home, Vehicle, Office, Shopping, Energy, Travel, Food).
EX Vision - Landmark Detection
AI-powered landmark identifier trained on a custom dataset via Teachable Machine (detects Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque). Both web-based (image/webcam input) and IoT + ML hardware prototype available.
EX Vision Hardware Prototype
IoT/ML working model featuring M5 CAM (streams feed via IP), Python backend, ESP32/ESP8266 microcontrollers with LCD screens, foam board structure, animated LCD startup, and battery-powered lighting.
